Visited AerowerkZ Motorsport located in City of Industry to see their work on painting the brake calipers on 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG.
First of all, there are two ways to paint calipers:
1) Masking all caliper-surrounding areas/parts. This is the most popular method since the price is reasonable and turnaround time is faster. Downside is not 100% areas of the calipers can be painted, but once the wheels are mounted, you won't be able to tell.
2) Removing calipers completely from the vehicle. This method will give the perfect paint job and much more color options. Downside is the vehicle can't be driven while calipers are removed and will cost at least 2 times more and need to bleed the brakes afterwards.
Today, calipers will be painted with #1 method.
Calipers must be sanded before spraying the paint.

Calipers are painted in burnt copper color.

Custom decals are installed and multiple clear coats are sprayed.

Finished look after paints are cured.

Lastly, photos with wheels on.
